Just a perfect day in the sky – Check out a lovely video!!!
OMG, you got to watch this awesome video taken by few Israelis who like to fly…. Ignore the noise at the beginning, when they take off (about 15 seconds after the video starts) a new soundtrack enters the picture – and a very good one too (Perfect Day by Lou Reed). English subtitles are embedded in the video to help you recognize the places you now see from the birds angel…. Hallelujah Israel.

Visit the Sea of Galilee and enjoy a tasty festival
The Jordan Valley, Tiberias and the Kibbutzs and Moshavs around the Sea of Galilee will host in the next two weeks (Fri-Sat 19-20 of Dec. and 26-27 of Dec.) the forth Taste of the Kinneret Festival. If this is your first time to Israel you should probably know first that the Kinneret is what we Israelis call the Sea of Galilee. The next thing you should probably know is that the area surrounding the lake is gorgeous and that you must skip this part of Israeli. Read the rest of this entry »

Autumn is here and so is the green
It started raining last week, first up north, in the Upper Galilee and around the Sea of Galilee (that’s where we need it most – the lake is in an urgent need of fresh water) and slowly came closer and closer to the center. Read the rest of this entry »

The Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company – The BEST dance company in Israel
Its about time I dedicated a post to my favorite dance company in Israel, and without a doubt the best Contemporary dance company that Israel has to offer the world. If an Israeli names another dance company from Israel as the most famous or appreciated company, then your are talking to someone who isn’t really into dance and has very little knowledge of it. The main problem today with the KCDC is that it is so successful around the world, that there aren’t many shows in Israel and they preform mainly outside the country.
The KCDC is a very unique dance company, it’s home is at Kibbutz Ge’aton in the north of Israel and all dancers in the company live on the Kibbutz. The dancers come from all over the world, but the choreography is 100% Israeli – all by the artistic manager of the company – Rami Be’er. Take a look at this video about the KCDC and get to know the special environment in which this dance company lives and create – it is called “The Galilee dance village”. -

The International Klezmer Festival of Safed is Around the Corner
Are You Ready? I said, Are You Ready??? The craziest music festival of Israel, dedicated to Jewish Klezmer music, will open on August 18 in the beautiful city of Safed. In case you dont know what Klezmer music is, watch the fantastic clip below of the world’s greatest violinist, Itzhak Perlman, Plays Klezmer music with fellow musician friends. Klezmer is a musical tradition which parallels Hasidic and Ashkenazic Judaism. Around the 15th century, a tradition of secular (non-liturgical) Jewish music was developed by musicians called Kleyzmorim or Kleyzmurim. They draw on devotional traditions extending back into Biblical times, and their musical legacy of Klezmer continues to evolve today.
